CTA Blue Line Video for Downtown El Platforms
I was hired to create a HD video loop for plasma TVs which were installed on multiple CTA Blue Line platforms in the Chicago Loop. This project definitely pushed me to expand my knowledge of multiple programs including; After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator. I shot the majority of video and photography used in the project and I also used some b-roll footage supplied by the City of Chicago. There is no sound in the piece as it was determined that the noise would be more of a distraction than a benefit while standing on the El platform.
The project is 6 minutes and 20 seconds long, loops, and features different areas of interest within walking distance of the Blue Line stops. These areas of interest include; The Chicago Theatre District, Chicago Sports, Public Art, Chicago Architecture, Public Buildings, Chicago Festivals, and O’Hare Airport.
Special thanks to Don McLean of Grafx Communication Group for hiring me to work on this project.
